Here is a perfect replacement engine if you have experienced an MDS failure and want more power, want to wake up your tired 5.7, or want a low compression, low boost capable shortblock!
Here at MMX we have used this 6.4 BGE shortblock (Found in 2014-2019 RAM 2500 6.4 Trucks) in a Ram 1500 with Eagle heads, and in an Edelbrock supercharged Jeep JK with 6.4 Heads.
This shortblock with a 5.7 eagle head will give: 10.0:1 with an .062 MLS Gasket. Contact MMX about higher compression ratio
This shortblock with a 6.4 or 6.2 73cc chamber head will achieve 9.5:1 Compression with a factory .037 gasket.
This shortblock uses the same crankshaft as a regular SRT8 engine, therefore our MMX Drop in Pistons and Rods can be used!
The pistons used in this engine are a dished, Hypereutectic design with the ring further down than a regular SRT8 piston. Here at MMX we feel that with the ring end gap opened up to .027-.028 this shortblock should be capable of 8-10 PSI of boost! This piston utilizes a DLC coated wrist pin, and will also accept our hellcat drop in rod only.
*This shortblock uses a 2013+ Year model reluctor wheel. MMX has found that this CAN be used in 2009-2012 year model vehicles IF you re use the 2009-2012 CRANK SENSOR*
